Dave Vitty (Radio 1 & The Hits) and Phil Williams (5Live, TalkRadio & BBC Radio Manchester) have been welcomed back to the University of Chester Warrington Campus.
Both national radio presenters spoke about to a student audience about their time at the University, their careers and they gave lots of advice.
The pair then joined The Cat Radio manger and presenter Corey Townley on air.
Corey Townley, 21 from Stoke on Trent, said “Getting to hear the stories of Phil & Dave was such a brilliant moment, and getting to present with the both of them on The Cat Radio is something I never thought would happen before coming to university.”
Steph Taylor, 21, said “I loved the whole afternoon. I thought it was really interesting and insightful. They gave some great tips and they were both funny too. Great to have them on air”
Programme Leader of the Radio Production course, Michelle Ponting, programme said that “It was great to have both Dave and Phil back on campus. The talk they gave was really insightful. To have them on the student station was just fantastic. The whole afternoon was just a brilliant learning experience for the students. I get the guests in to bring the learning to life and that is just what happened!”
More guest sessions are planned for the rest of the academic year. BBC 5Live Presenter Chris Warburton and ReelWorld’s Paul Fernley are amongst those booked to speak over the next month.
